PCU support for junior doctors Posted by Kate O'Halloran on January 16, 2016

  • The Psychotherapy and Counselling Union extends warm and unconditional support to junior doctors in their fight for fair pay and working hours. We also acknowledge their role and best intentions in a broader struggle for the maintenance of a functioning NHS. We strongly oppose the dismissive, devaluing and demoralizing actions of the government in this matter. Interim Committee on behalf of PCU

  • Kate O'Halloran February 7, 2016 at 5:28pmHi Simone, the letter of support was written in response to requests from members to write one. There was a discussion about it in the Google group. All posts about that are archived and can be read by visiting the google group webpage, which is accessible to all me,bers. As I understamd it, we made the decision on a consensus basis- ie a draft letter was available for comment, and time given for objections to its being written/sent. That process was open to all supporters at the time of writing, but I realise you had 't joined at that point. I hope that offers some clarification.
